Vega Park and Sunset Point at River Islands
The public Michael W. Vega Park and adjacent privately owned, but publicly accessible, Sunset Point together provide the first open space amenities for the nascent community of River Islands, being built in California’s Central Valley. The park is adjacent to a constructed lagoon and features a dock, boathouse, bocce courts, and playgrounds surrounding a central lawn. The space is interwoven within a radial ‘orchard’ of crape myrtles.
